Active projects
Editorial intelligence at SCMP — Standing up editorial intelligence as an integrated newsroom function — turning audience and content data into decisions desks act on, on a standing cadence, with my first team hire starting soon.
bootstrap/recursion (newsletter) — Back in motion after a fallow stretch — the re-entry issue (“How I work with AI”) is out, and I’m building an automated pipeline so it ships consistently without the heavy lift. Inner-work writing — philosophy, agency, self-awareness.
Multi-agent system / skills work — A working multi-agent setup sharing one Obsidian vault as memory — Claude Code for building and thinking, a data-analysis agent on the Mac, and Claude Desktop. Designing the skills, write policies, and routing that hold across all of them.
What I’m learning
Agentic AI systems — How LLM-based agents handle real workflows, not just answer questions — building the tools, not just using them.
Personal systems design — The intersection of GTD, PKM, and habit design. How information architecture shapes thinking.
Confucian ethics — Studying the Analects as a practice that moves in cycles — quieter right now, but the through-line stays: less scholarship, more what the texts demand of conduct in the moment.
I Ching — A reflective tool I use in cycles — prescriptive (right conduct), not predictive. The 64 hexagrams as a structured way to interrogate a day before it begins.
